The Wonder (No More) Years

By Marilyn Beck

Wonder Years actor Josh Saviano expects his show to get a lot of flack when his 16-year-old character loses his virginity in the March 25 episode. "Our time slot's changed to 8 [ET], which is too bad. I'm sure we're going to get a lot of letters from parents," he predicts, probably correctly.

Saviano's character, Paul, has sex after meeting a college freshman, but Saviano says the focus of the ABC show is not his sexual experience. "It's about how his best friend, Kevin [Fred Savage], feels. He's afraid he's going to lose Paul, but the story shows Paul reaching out to Kevin more than ever.... This kind of thing is a reality. I've heard of kids losing their virginity at 13, 14 years old."
