Linda Hoy played a nurse in Romeo and Juliet at the Lowell Davies Festival Theater in 1989, the leading role of Grace in Grace and Glorie with the San Jose Stage Company in 1997, Aunt Elizabeth in The Heiress with the Arizona Theatre Company & Berkeley Repertory Theatre in 1998.  She also was in Marin Theatre Company's production of the world premiere of Tennessee Williams' Spring Storm in November 1999. Linda Hoy obviously gave up her TV and movie career to play theater. In November 1999 she was praised to be one of the best actresses in the San Francisco bay area by Mark de la Viña, Mercury News Theater Writer.
