James has also produced the TV series "Hill Street Blues" (associate),  "Bay City Blues" (co-producer), "L.A. Law" (1986) (senior), "TV 101" (1988), "A Fine Romance" (1989),
"Chicago Hope" (1994) (also supervising), for the latter he also directed, "Wasteland" (1999), "C.S.I." (2000), and "Pasadena" (2001) (latter three co-executive).
