Birthday: October 4, 1976, 3:44 p.m. in San Francisco, California 

  • Daughter of Monty and Didi Silverstone, both English, and sister of David Silverstone, youngest of three children
  • At the age of fifteen, she was legally emancipated and quit school as a sophomore to work on "The Crush," her film debut. 
  • She had her stage debut in Los Angeles with the Met Theatre production of "Carol's Eve," where she portrayed a lesbian coke addict.

  • Her performance in "The Crush" was noted by Aerosmith, and eventually she starred in three music videos by Aerosmith: "Cryin'" (awarded as the Best Video of All Time on the MTV Video Music Awards), "Amazing," and "Crazy." Alicia: "I hate people to call me 'that Aerosmith chick'!"
  • MTV gave her the following movie awards: 
    • "Best Villian" and "Breakthrough Performance" for "The Crush" (just missed "Most Desirable Female" which went to Janet Jackson)

  • Alicia firmly refuses doing nude scenes. A body double was hired to do the nude shots in "The Crush," and she turned down the role in "The Babysitter," until the filmmakers banished all nudity from the script. 
  • She got 4.6 million dollar for a job as a barbie modell.
  • Alicia is as either Samantha or Jeannie, in the upcoming movie versions of  the 60's TV series 'Bewitched' and 'I Dream of Jeannie'. No deal has been made yet (1996).
  • Alicia missed out several roles. For example, "My Father The Hero" - she was a little bit too heavy -, and a part in "Little Women," because she was too young. Alicia was offered the role of Valerie Malone, on Beverly Hills, 90210.  Since it was the beginning of her career, Alicia turned it down, and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen got the role instead. Alicia also turned down replacing Shannen Doherty on "Beverly Hills 90210."
  • According to "Seventeen" (July 1995), she currenty has no boyfriend. Inquiries about Moize Chabbouh, a hairdresser and frequent set visitor in his late twenties whom Alicia has previously identified as her boyfriend, are stopped cold. ("He's not my boyfriend. He's just a friend.") Her best friend is her agent Carolyn Kessler.
  • Alicia is engaged to the 29 year-old actor Benicio del Toro (1996). 
  • There was a rumour that she was dating Kenneth Branagh. She has denied this in January 2000 on FHM radio and on 6 April 2000 on BBC Radio 1.
  • Believed to have dated Leonardo DiCaprio and Adam Sandler. Once dated Christopher Jarecki, lead singer of the unsigned rock band, Underdogs.
